Brain Health

Brain Health “What is good for your heart is good for your brain” and did you know that water is the only substance that actually goes straight to your brain? If you suffer from migraines or headaches your brain could just be dehydrated. Drink 1/2 a glass of room temperature water and rest for awhile.

Some of the symptoms of ageing you may be experiencing are… and I know how frustrating it can be to remember something one moment and forget the next… or to experience a dozen different emotions all in a 5 minute period. Wouldnt you just love to know how to relieve these symptoms once and for all?

Memory Loss
Depression
Lack of Concentration
Brain Fog
Emotional Outbursts
Mood Swings

… ALL CAN BE RELIEVED WITH QUALITY NUTRITION AND SUPPLEMENTATION!

To age gracefully and with great health you cannot ‘hope for the best’ or accept anything less than what is the best for you. For the next few emails I am going to focus on specific symptoms and what you can do naturally to create a new balance. Today I would like to share some interesting information on brain health. I am passionate about this subject and I would like to share my story with you

As most of you know I have a intellectually impaired son and have been studying brain health for 20 years. Matthew is healthy, drug free and high functioning because I had to open my mind to alternative methods of healing the human body and to give my son credit he has been my guinea pig for every natural remedy, tonic and vitamins that have come onto the market. Up until 7 years ago Matthew had an epileptic seizure every ten minutes. Known as focal epilepsy his brain would switch off and no information could go in. I began studying the power of nutrition for the brain when Matthew was 7 years old and as much as it would drive his teachers crazy I would take him off the drugs with the latest nutritional find and without consulting or sharing my ‘experiment’ I would wait for their response.

I was introduced to a health supplement 7 years ago called Tahitian Noni Juice (I have shared this with you before)… after I did my own research (the client who introduced it to me would not take no for

answer) Matthew and I began drinking TNJ. Within 6 weeks his teacher rang to ask me what I was giving Matthew this time because his concentration, focus and memory had improved by about 40%. My reply was ‘Ohh just quality nutrition”. Matthew had a brain MRI the following week and his neurologist said that the epileptic acitivity was no longer present and after further tests it showed that his brain had also stopped discharging. Matthew has been drug free every since.

My PMT disappeared in the first month never to rare its ugly head again. (thats a good thing). And the only thing I had changed in his routine was 60mls of TNJ twice a day.

I have spoken to half dozen different doctors to the reason why this has happened and the general response was that not all supplements can break through the blood barrier of the brain and because Matthews brain was so nutritionally deficient and because TNJ seems to be able to break through this blood barrier Matthew brain has been able to function at a much higher level. (and I can certainly tell when he doesnt drink his NONI, but what is even better than that, so does he)

Because your brain is part of your body (and they work as one whole) some of the symptoms of menopause (or your ageing process) can effect how your brain works on a day to day basis. My continual research and study has led me to Dr Dharma Singh Khalsa who specializes in Brain Longevity. Dr Dharma is very much into nutritional therapy first and his philosophy aligns with that of mine so I have read his books and continually follow his clinical research and testimonials.

One philosophy that we share is that supplementation @40+ is not an option if you want to age with all your faculty’s in place and If you are experiencing…

Memory Loss
Depression
Lack of Concentration
Brain Fog

Emotional Outbursts

Mood Swings

… then I would urge you to seriously look at what your supplementing with (because if you are experiencing any symptoms of ageing, then your supplements are not working) and if you are not using supplements then why not? You see what you could do before your physiology started to slow down does not work now. What you give your 20 year old daughter or even your husband may not have the same effect in your body. Remember, this is a time that you have to change what you think about so you can change what you are doing. Natural nututritional supplementation is a very good place to start if you are passionately committed to being healthy and totally fulfilled as a women 40+.

Your brain keeps you alive so doesn’t make sense to LOOK AFTER IT.

Your brain does not hold onto food like your muscles do. As you know the food you eat through chemical reactions and activity breaks down and stores in your muscles as glygogen (gosh this is a very simple

explanation) your brain does not ‘hold onto’ food so it is ABSOLUTELY IMPORTANT that you feed yourself good brain food and supplement with quality nutritionals.

Now I am not saying that TNJ and Dr Dharmas supplements are the only quality ones around. I do know that they are quality, they work, and the longer I live the more I realize that ’success leaves traces’ and to do what successful people are already doing just makes sense to me.

I am committed to my own health and wellness and as your Menopause Relief Advisor any and all information I share with you is from my own experience and my findings from others who know more than me and have proven results.

My second committment is to your health and well-being and my hope is that these emails give you what you want so you can enjoy great health and well-being also.

Heres what you have to do:

Brain Food:

When you are food shopping add to your cart the following;

Bananas, Currants, Dates, Figs, Grapes, Olives, Plums, Asparagus, Radish, Tomatoes, Avocado, Garlic, Brocolli, Brussel Sprouts, Carrots,Cucumber, Lettuce, Parsley, Watercress, Lemons, Apricots, and SUNSHINE.

LECITHIN: lecithin comprises 28% of your brain matter with a healthy and mentally stable person. Modern research has discovered that with mentally impaired people the lecithin content is often as low as 19%.

Add to your fruit and vegetable shopping list WHOLE GRAINS, NUTS AND SEEDS.

And just for your inerest, lecithin is part of every cell of your body, expecially your brain and your liver and forms part of your endogland tissues. (thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, pituitary, sex glands, pineal, pancreas and thymus) and the muscles of your heart and lungs.
